#theowstaketokyo day 2

Day 2: In the morning, we took a train down to Harajuku and walked to the Meiji Shrine. It was a beautiful sunny and cloudy day with a nice cool temperature!
I'm sorry if the photos appear too bright, blame the sun!
The beauty of nature :)
Barrels of sake donated by people to show respect to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken.
Barrels of wine which represent the japanese learning from western culture and civilisation.
Rinsing our hands and mouth before entering the shrine.
 Their kimonos are so pretty!
Wrote my wishes for 2014 and dropped it in a box.

After the visit to the Meiji Shrine, we had ramen for lunch at Kyusyujangara. We had to queue for a bit before getting our seats. The food came fast and the service was good. Best ramen I've ever tasted! Make sure to try it when you go to Harajuku!
The broth isn't too thick, the meat is tender, the ramen is QQ. SO P-E-R-F-E-C-T. In fact, I'm craving for this right now :( How I wish I can turn back time..

The sisters and I then walked over to Harajuku Street while dad chilled at Starbucks and mum went shopping somewhere else. (Yes we're a shopaholic family haha)
If I'm not wrong, this is a preschool. How cute is it!
Hot drinks to keep us warm <3
Pretty fairy lights along the streets.

For dinner, we had sashimi don at Uoriki Kaisen Sushi Restaurant which is at Tokyu Department Store in Shibuya. It was pretty good. You might think I'm crazy but I conclude that I'm not a fan of sashimi. I'm fine with eating it though :)
I finished eating my first ever sashimi don. *proud smile* (But I ended up puking at night because I wasn't used to eating raw food :()
The famous Shibuya crossing at night.

By day 2, I was already in love with Japan. <3
