Today I woke up with a heavy heart and butterflies in my stomach. While I was sleeping, my mum told my sisters and I that she and my dad were going to the hospital because my grandfather's condition wasn't looking too good. And that reminds me of a particular morning, nearly 14 years ago, where my dad came into my bedroom and told us that my maternal grandpa had passed away. The feeling was equally terrifying. This morning, I was sincerely hoping that nothing serious would happen to my grandfather. I visited him this evening and I was heartbroken. The car journey to the hospital was quiet and filled with anxiety. When I finally saw him in the icu ward, I couldn't help but to tear at the sight of his condition. My heart sank. I couldn't look him in the eye because it was too painful for me. Even though his condition was stable at that moment, it still didn't feel right. He was aware of his surroundings and was able to talk to us, which was great. He called out my sister's name and mentioned that he was never going to see us again. That was when I started crying. I tried holding back my tears, but I just couldn't put up a strong front before him. The word "never" never seemed so scary before. He also said he wouldn't be able to make it to my sister's wedding. He said he didn't understand why this had to happen to him. For a 90 year old man, he was considered healthy and was able to take care of himself. But because of one fall, he became weak and suffered. Of course, we told him not to worry and he would get better. And I hope he really does get better.
Stay strong, ye ye! I love you <3
I'm sorry for being so negative. Today was kind of a rough day and I just had to pen down my thoughts. I believe everything will be fine tomorrow. Goodnight.
